In North Carolina, No Evil Foods is now using biodegradable Kraftpak carton board with plant-based inks and water-soluble adhesives to package its plant-based meat alternatives.
The company—whose tagline is Protein for all. In plants we trust—tells Packaging Digest its packaging used include stickers that were difficult to compost with the rest of the packaging.
“Our new design illustrates our commitment to environmental responsibility in a really fun way. [The graphics are] bold and edgy and unlike anything we’ve seen in the alternative-meat space before, all while showing off our personality as a brand,” says No Evil Foods co-founder Sadrah Schadel.
The biodegradable Kraftpak carton board is unbleached kraft made by KapStone Corp.
