In the United Kingdom, a Manchester School of Art student has developed a biodegradable, flexible fabric from discarded paper while studying for a Textiles In Practice degree.
Dubbed Bio-Marble, Hannah Jones says she developed the fabric out of concern for the environment.
Bio-Marble was recently included in an exhibit at New Designers 2017 in London. A solo exhibit at the GK Gallery, Manchester is also planned for this month, while samples of her work with Bio-Marble are going to be shown at MoOD, Brussels and Design Junction, London later this year.
