In Los Angeles, menswear brand Bensly is using eucalyptus-based Tencel fabric to produce T-shirts and boxers.
Bensly says its products are “softer than silk, more breathable than linen, and more absorbent than cotton.” The fabric is also naturally wrinkle resistant and antibacterial. The Tencel is sourced from Austrian eucalyptus trees, turned into fine fibers in a closed-loop process, and hand-stitched in Los Angeles.
The company also sells hoodies and shorts made of “Pima” cotton, which it claims comes from a variety of cotton that thrives in desert conditions.
Bensly’s threads will set you back, however. Digital Trends reports that boxers are $22, while a T-shirt costs over $50.
