In Pennsylvania, Noble Biomaterials is partnering with the Lenzing Group on new textiles using Noble’s anti-odor technology. Noble is known for its antimicrobial and conductivity applications for things like apparel. The technology is silver-based and will be used in activewear, which is easy to understand why it gets smelly and how this product can come in handy.
The fibers won’t be using polyester that is usually used in activewear and instead is using a more natural alternative, though they didn’t specify what the yarns are exactly made of, other than the silver that is integrated into the yarn to provide the anti-odor function. Because the silver will be in the yarn, it won’t wash off the apparel making it a long-term anti-odor piece of clothing.
