In Arizona, joining the ranks of Akron Biotechnology and others we’ve covered in the past, Lattice Biologics Ltd. is joining nearly 100 organizations in the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) an initiative comprised of public sector, government, nonprofits, and private sector aimed to advance next-generation technologies and biofabrication for cells, tissue and organs. Lattice Biologics is using human tissue based scaffolds that can support ingrowth of stem cells, preserve phenotypes of engrafted cells, and improve the time it takes for patients to heal. They use extracellular matrix from stem cells or from muscle or placenta tissue to create their biomaterial for cellular therapies and tissue engineering. Lattice Biologics is working with Arizona-based ASU Biodesign on their products.
