The ARMI initiative is comprised of almost 100 organizations and includes $80 million in funding from the federal government and over $200 million from industry organizations, academic institutions, and non-profits. The program’s network invests in leading manufacturing and biofabrication technologies as well as biomaterial and cell processing for the Department of Defense. Their goal is to grow American manufacturing and incentivize companies to invest within the United States to move forward and improve biofabrication technology especially for cells, organs and tissue.
