In Florida, LanzaTech, Amyris, Renewable Energy Group and Novozymes have taken the lead in early voting in the 50 Hottest Companies in the Advanced Bioeconomy ballot. The Digest released the early-voting totals from Subscriber Voting — which do not yet include Social Votes or Invited International Selector votes.

Companies such as Audi, Shell, Flint Hills Resources, AkzoNobel, Syngenta, Cargill, Dow, DuPont, Evonik, Coca-Cola, Bayer, Neste, Boeing, ADM, BASF and DSM were prominent in the early ballots. Also, fresh faces such as Impossible Foods, Evolva, Bolt Threads, and Zymergen were scoring well with readers.
