In California, the Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology now has 24 startup companies under its wing, compared to only six in December 2015 when it first opened. There are more companies now that are looking to gather together to find solutions for today’s agriculture challenges. Some of the companies at the center focus on using technology for water conservation and sustainability, while others focus on improving efficiencies for agriculture using aerial imagery, and data collection and analysis. They benefit from the collaborative nature as well as the endorsement and promotion that the center offers to its startup companies.
