Neoenergia breaks ground on green hydrogen facility in Brazil
In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that Brazilian utility company Neoenergia announced the start of the construction of the first green hydrogen power plant in the country that will serve as a supply point for light and heavy vehicles. Located in Taguatinga municipality, Brazil’s Federal District, the power plant will require over $5.4 million in investments and will be powered by a photovoltaic plant, according to the report. Once fully operational, it will work as a supply point for light and heavy-weight vehicles. Scheduled to commence operation in October, the project is part of the Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) Program regulated by local power sector regulator Aneel, the report added.
