Medco Energi mothballs Indonesian ethanol plant on lack of feedstock

In Indonesia, Medco Energi said PT Medco Ethanol Lampung closed down definitively on Oct. 16 because the facility couldn’t source enough molasses or cassava for feedstock. The company is now looking for a strategic partner to help develop its downstream ethanol business but until then the facility will be mothballed and potentially available for sale.
