Malaysia Aviation Group reports emissions reductions fleet modernization progress and expanded sustainability initiatives in latest ESG performance update

In the UK, International Airport Review reported that Malaysia Aviation Group has released its 2025 sustainability report outlining progress across environmental, social and governance priorities through emissions reduction, fleet modernization and operational efficiency initiatives.

The group reported that fuel efficiency programs introduced across its operations reduced carbon dioxide emissions by more than 103,000 tons during the year, alongside fuel savings of over 30,000 tons.

As part of its decarbonization strategy, the group completed its first pilot SAF uplift on the Kuala Lumpur to London route through a partnership with Malaysian oil firm Petronas.

Malaysia Aviation Group also introduced two per cent SAF usage for flights departing from the United Kingdom and Europe in line with evolving regulatory requirements, according to the report.
