March 3, 2026 |

In Argentina, Energia Online reported that Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) inaugurated a new high oil content seed milling line at its Timbúes agro-industrial complex, intended to strengthen the global SAF market.

This new facility has the capacity to process up to 3,000 tons of crops such as camelina, carinata, and canola daily. Production is focused on camelina oil, a winter crop that does not compete with traditional grains, representing a significant advance in the sustainable production of biofuels, according to the report.

Juan José Blanchard, CEO for Latin America and global COO of LDC, announced that a shipment of camelina oil processed in Timbúes will soon be sent to Europe, where it will be used to produce SAF.
