Lallemand and Mascoma Introduce Next Gen Yeast for Corn Ethanol

In Georgia, fermentation ingredient producer, Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits, and renewable fuels company, Mascoma Corporation, have introduced their next generation advanced yeast product, TransFerm® Yield+. The bioengineered drop-in fermenting yeast substitute reduces costs and increases efficiency for corn ethanol production. It is proven to increase ethanol yield, reduce the production of glycerol and reduce the need for expensive glucoamylase (GA) enzymes.
