June 7, 2026 |

In China, SunSirs reported that according to Statistics Indonesia, the country’s exports of crude and refined palm oil reached 7.7 million tons during the first four months of 2026, a 20.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

By comparison, palm oil exports for the first three months of the year stood at 5.85 million tons, representing a year-on-year growth of 9.3%, according to the report.

As the world’s largest palm oil exporter, Indonesia saw its export volume rise by 20.4% year-on-year in the first four months of 2026. This rate of growth marks a significant acceleration from the 9.3% recorded in the preceding three months, intensifying pressure on global palm oil supply and exerting bearish downward pressure on both spot and futures prices, the report added.
