India’s SAF sector could become a new market for US corn
Uniper reserves NovaSAF capacity from Syzygy Plasmonics planned facilities in Latin America.
In Germany, Uniper said it has joined a growing list of aviation fuel buyers that have reserved future production capacity from Syzygy Plasmonics’ NovaSAF platform.
The agreement adds to Uniper’s low carbon portfolio and brings additional commercial traction to Syzygy’s planned NovaSAF facilities in Central and South America, as NovaSAF-1 in Uruguay approaches a final investment decision.
NovaSAF is Syzygy Plasmonics’ commercial project platform, converting biogas to sustainable aviation fuel using the company’s proprietary Rigel photocatalytic reactor.
“Uniper is committed to building a diversified portfolio of low-carbon energy solutions that support our customers’ decarbonization goals. Securing access to Syzygy’s innovative technology is another important step in building our position in a market with significant growth potential,” said Benedikt Messner, SVP New Energies, at Uniper.
