India’s ethanol supply surpasses 8 billion liters

In India, India’s ethanol program surpassed 8 billion liters of cumulative supplies during Ethanol Supply Year 2025-26, according to the All India Distillers’ Association. July deliveries totaled about 930 million liters, with grain-based ethanol accounting for 710 million liters, or 76% of monthly supply, up from 73% in June. Maize and surplus Food Corporation of India grains each contributed about 300 million liters, together representing nearly 85% of grain-based supplies. Damaged food grains added another 110 million liters. The figures highlight the growing importance of grain feedstocks as overall monthly ethanol supplies moderated.
