IMI Supplies 2MW electrolyzer to IGAT for green hydrogen production in Italy
In the UK, Fuel Cells Works reported that IMI has supplied a 2MW electrolzser to Industria Gas Tecnici S.p.A., (IGAT) marking the company’s entry into green hydrogen production under Italy’s national Hydrogen Valley program.
In 2023, IGAT secured funding through the Italian Hydrogen Valley initiative, which supports the development of local hydrogen ecosystems. As part of this project, IMI was selected to provide a 2MW electrolyzer to enable onsite production of green hydrogen powered by renewable energy.
The new installation allows IGAT to integrate renewable hydrogen into its existing operations, according to the report.
Maurizia Calvisi, Sales Manager at IMI, said: “The 2MW electrolyzer is a reliable and scalable technological solution designed to support the growth of green hydrogen in industrial processes.”
