House of Representatives pass bill allowing year-round E15

May 14, 2026 |

In Washington, the House of Representatives passed HR 1346, the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, a permanent, legislative fix offering consumers year-round access to lower-cost E15. Approved by a vote of 218 to 203, the bipartisan bill now moves to the Senate, where Majority Leader John Thune has been tapped by President Trump to advance E15 legislation.

Currently available at more than 4,800 locations in the United States, E15 is a fuel blend that contains 15 percent ethanol, offering drivers savings of 20 to 40 cents per gallon. In recent days, E15’s discount to standard E10 gasoline has averaged over 10 percent, according to real prices reported by real people on E15prices.com.
