House Majority Leader looks to tack RFS reform onto debt ceiling package
In Washington, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has confirmed that he would look to add reform of the Renewable Fuel Standard onto a debt ceiling package if the House Energy and Commerce Committee comes to an agreement. OPIS confirmed the plan was announced to an oil industry fly-in held in late July with representatives from Valero, Marathon Petroleum, Tesoro, Phillips 66, Chevron, ExxonMobil and PBF Energy as well as American Petroleum Institute President Jack Gerard and American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers President Charles Drevna.
