greenValue supports Balance Erneuerbare Energien’s biogas portfolio expansion
In Germany, greenValue successfully supported of Balance Erneuerbare Energien in the further expansion of its biogas plant portfolio. The biogas plants located in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have a combined thermal input capacity of 46 MW. Following the acquisition, the facilities are to undergo technical modernization under the new owner’s management. “The insights gained during the due diligence process open up opportunities for successful continued operation in the years ahead,” says Kellermann. The biogas plants currently process renewable feedstocks. At four sites, the electricity generated is fed into the grid of the respective local network operator, while heat is supplied to various consumers via district heating networks. The biogas plant in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is equipped with a biogas upgrading facility with a capacity of 1,366 Nm³ of biomethane per hour.
