Greenleaf Biofuels plans facility using waste veggie oil from Yale

In Connecticut, Greenleaf Biofuels is planning to build a 10 million gallon per year biodiesel facility using waste cooking oil from some of the poshest dining halls in the country—those from Yale University. The biodiesel will be used for both transportation and for heating.

Greenleaf expects to coordinate with small, local companies who have for years been collecting UCO from New Haven restaurants and the university in order to reach its expected production capacity.
