Global SAF market to reach $40 billion by 2034, research finds
In India, Fortune Business Insights reported that the global sustainable aviation fuel market size was valued at $2.72 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow from $4.02 billion in 2026 to $40.09 billion by 2034, exhibiting a CAGR of 33.3% during the forecast period.
The report noted that North America dominated the sustainable aviation fuel market, accounting for 46.43% of the market share in 2025.
Production capacity for SAF could expand substantially in the coming decades, potentially reaching around 250 million tons by 2050, though achieving this would require 500–800 production facilities and roughly $ 1 trillion in investment, the report added.
