Global green hydrogen market to reach $201 billion by 2035, research finds
In India, SNS Insider reported that the global green hydrogen market had a value of $10.02 billion in 2025, and is expected to reach a value of $201.07 billion by 2035, recording a CAGR of 35.0% for the period 2026-2035.
According to the report, the Asia Pacific region was leading the global green hydrogen market in terms of 47.4% revenue share in 2025 owing to government policies on hydrogen, increasing renewable electricity generation, and investments in electrolyzer production facilities. The hydrogen strategy, industrial decarbonization, and renewable energy projects are making way for India and China to strengthen production infrastructure with national hydrogen missions in India and China.
In 2025, China had captured around 37.90% of the total Asia Pacific green hydrogen market owing to government initiatives and electrolyzer installation, according to the report.
“Europe will experience the highest regional growth rate between 2026-2035 on account of mandates on renewable hydrogen, industrial decarbonization goals, and infrastructure in hydrogen. The updated Renewable Energy Directive, REPowerEU, and carbon border adjustments are motivating industries to source their renewable hydrogen needs,” the report stated.
