Gasum opens bioLNG refueling station to support low-emission heavy transport
In Finland, Gasum has inaugurated a new liquefied biogas (LBG) refueling station in Ylivieska, located in Finland’s Ostrobothnia region, strengthening the country’s infrastructure for low-emission heavy transport. Situated at Ouluntie 25, at the junction of several key national transport corridors, the station is designed exclusively for heavy-duty vehicles and aims to support the growing use of renewable fuels in the logistics sector.
The placement of the Ylivieska facility reflects the operational needs of freight and haulage companies, as the area serves as an important logistics hub with significant transport flows and the presence of major distribution terminals, including that of DSV. Gasum has steadily expanded its biogas refueling network across Finland in recent years, prioritizing locations that enable efficient, low-emission transport along the country’s main road arteries.
