Fusion Fuel starts biomass steam project at South African dairy facility
In India, BioEnergy Times reported that Fusion Fuel Green has begun commercial operations at its first biomass-powered industrial steam project at a dairy facility in South Africa, marking its entry into the Southern African market.
The project, developed in partnership with Alien Fuel, is expected to generate around $700,000 in annual revenue. It has been set up under a joint venture company, BioSteam Energy, in which Fusion Fuel holds a 51% stake, according to the report.
The new system replaces a fossil fuel-based steam generation process with a biomass-based solution. It is expected to lower the facility’s carbon emissions and allow the generation of carbon credits through reduced landfill waste and cleaner fuel use, the report added.
Under the agreement, Fusion Fuel also has the first right to take part in future projects developed or offered by Alien Fuel within the scope of the partnership.
