Ethanol stocks fall to lowest level of 2026
In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Agency reports ethanol inventories dropped to 23.928 million barrels last week, the lowest level since early January. Stocks fell by 762,000 barrels from the previous week and were slightly below year-ago levels, indicating continued strong domestic demand. Ethanol production averaged 1.093 million barrels per day, down from the previous week but modestly higher than a year earlier. Meanwhile, ethanol exports climbed to 200,000 barrels per day, suggesting stronger international demand, while Gulf Coast inventories increased. The USDA is scheduled to release its next corn-for-ethanol use forecast on Friday.
