Ethanol production slips potentially on early maintenance shutdowns

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production slid last week to 1.075 million barrels, the lowest in two months but still slightly higher than the same time last year. The lower level may be due to earlier seasonal maitenance as most ethanol plants were still estimated to be running positive margins. With lower production came lower stocks at 25.991 million barrels, down 1.179 million from the week prior. Exports remained steady at 123,000 barrels per day.
