Ethanol production falls slightly but mostly steady
In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports ethanol production fell slightly last week but was about on par compared to last year at 1.023 million barrels a day. Stocks are also building back up following the drawdown during maintenance season, reaching a three-week high at 23.222 million barrels. Ethanol imports remained strong at 125,000 barrels a day, slightly higher on the week but 47,000 above last year. Demand from refiners purchasing ethanol for blending remained steady with a 1% increase on the week.
