EPA to submit 2026 blending quotas to White House this week
In Washington, Reuters reports the White House is rushing to get the 2026 biofuel blending quotas approved before its self-imposed deadline the end of March, with the Enviornmental Protection Agency aiming to submit the final proposal for the Trump Administration’s review by the end of this week. It takes the White House roughly 30 days to review the EPA’s proposal, which includes a lower volume for biomass-based diesel than originally proposed last June as the “America First” policy aims to significantly cut credits applied to imports.
