EPA set to decide on 36 pending SRE applications

In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency is set to finally make its decision regarding 36 applications for small refinery exemptions under the Renewable Fuel Standard. A government notice said the agency would make the announcement Thursday. Although the EPA rejected 65 pending SRE applications in December, it still has a pending backlog of 69 awaiting decision. RIN prices rose on Thursday ahead of the decision to $1.21 for D6 credits from $1.155 while D4 RINs rose to $1.595 from $1.52.
