EIA says ethanol stocks at highest in six months
In Washington, the EIA says that ethanol stocks have reached the highest level seen in six months to just over 17 million barrels, thanks to increased production following a bumper corn crop this fall. Overall production is also up 7,000 barrels per day to 902,000 bpd. Stocks in the Midwest were slipping but have rebounded for their four-week low, while stocks have dipped slightly on the East Coast as well. There have been no ethanol imports for 19 straight weeks.
