Digest Bioeconomy Index slides 1.24 percent to 46.82 as ethanol slumps

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, slid 1.24 percent to 46.82 as ethanol slumped. For the day, BioAmber (BIOA) fell 7.84 percent to $2.94, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) shed 6.25 percent yo $3.15. Among other equities, Global Bioenergies (ALGBE.PA) lost 4.85 percent to $20.61. Overall, declines led advances by a 3 to 1 ratio for the day.
