Digest Bioeconomy Index jumps 3.61 percent to 55.63 as ethanol equities zoom

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, jumped 3.61 percent to 55.63 as ethanol equities zoomed following EPA’s announcement of US mandates for 2014-2016.  For the day, Abengoa (ABGB) rebounded 19.08 percent to $2.06, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared 21.12 percent to $4.99. Among other equities, Aemetis (AMTX) rocketed up 16.41 percent to $2.98. Overall, advances led declines by a 6 to 1 ratio for the day.
