Digest Bioeconomy Index jumps 1.06 percent to 51.27 as ethanol surges

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, jumped 1.06 percent to 51.27 as ethanol surged.

For the day, Aemetis (AMTX) jumped 6.67 percent to $1.92, while Green Plains (GPRE) soared 7.55 percent to $16.81. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) rolled up 8.83 percent to $0.26.

Overall, advances led declines by a 10 to 3 ratio for the day.
