Digest Bioeconomy Index gains 1.81 percent to 56.10 as chemicals soar

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, gained 1.81 percent to 56.10 as chemicals soared. For the day, Metabolix (MBLX) surged 22.67 percent to $1.84, whole Amyris (AMRS) jumped 5.02 percent to $2.30. Among other equities, BioAmber (BIOA) rocketed up 5.30 percent to $8.55. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 2 for the day.
