Digest Bioeconomy Index falls 1.02 percent to 48.71 as ethanol tumbles

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, fell 1.02 percent to 48.71 as ethanol tumbled. For the day, The Andersons (ANDE) shed 6.47 percent to $27.16, while Gevo (GEVO) lost 7.12 percent to $0.39. Among other equities, Metabolix (MBLX) rebounded 15.38 percent to $1.20. Overall, declines led advances by a 2 to 1 ratio for the day.
