Digest Bioeconomy Index dumps 1.12 percent to 54.87 as chemicals struggle

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, dumped 1.12 percent to 54.87 as chemicals struggled. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) jumped 2.85 percent to $3.25 while Amyris (AMRS) shed 6.28 percent to $1.79. Among other equities, Metabolix (MBLX) plummeted 10.71 percent to $2.75. Overall, declines led advances 5 to 3 for the day.
