DHL Express, Malaysia Aviation Group partner to cut emissions with SAF

May 19, 2026 |

In India, BioEnergy Times reported that DHL Express has partnered with Malaysia Aviation Group to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from international shipments by using sustainable aviation fuel under its GoGreen Plus service.

The agreement will allow Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) to lower emissions linked to its time-sensitive air freight by investing in SAF used within DHL’s air network, according to the report.

Julian Neo, Managing Director of DHL Express Malaysia and Brunei, said SAF is currently one of the most advanced options for reducing emissions in long-distance air transport. He added that the partnership reflects growing momentum in the aviation sector toward adopting lower-carbon fuel solutions.

Launched in 2023, GoGreen Plus enables companies to reduce indirect emissions from their supply chains by using SAF. The service operates on a “book and claim” system, where emissions savings from sustainable fuel use within DHL’s network are allocated to customers, even if their shipments are not directly carried on SAF-powered flights.
