Datagro first to buy Cbios in deal with Adecoagro, Sucden and Santander
In Brazil, Reuters reports that the first Cbios deal was completed last week when Datagro purchased 100 of them at about $9.70 each from Adecoagro. Sucden was the broker while the purchase was financed by Santander. The credits are meant to offset the carbon emissions of Datagro’s future in-person events. The government hopes to see fuel companies buy 14.5 million Cbios this year as Renovabio kicks off. Santander says it stands ready to finance the transactions and that 3 million Cbios are already in stock.
