CropEnergies expects 5% revenue increase in part thanks to higher ethanol prices
In Germany, CropEnergies expects the European ethanol market to improve enough that it has raised its revenue forecast for the second time this year through February, this time by 5%, an announcement welcomed by investors who boosted its shares by 7%. Revenues jumped during the August through November quarter by 28% in part thanks to better ethanol prices, though the company didn’t report the reasons behind the improved results. Platts said ethanol prices were 3% higher during August through November but have increased another 12% since then.
