Corn production in Argentina marks a historic record with 71.5 million tons
In Argentina, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries reported that the 2025/2026 corn harvest reached a production of 71.5 million tons, which places it as a historical record, when the progress of the harvest already exceeds 75% of the estimated area.
The cereal benefited from an increase in area, which went from 9.2 million hectares to 11.6 million hectares, which means an increase of 26.1% compared to the previous season; and an improvement in yield, which went from 6900 kg/ha to 7240 kg/ha in the average of the country, also compared with the 2024/2025 cycle.
