March 19, 2026 |

In Germany, Cool Planet Technologies says the assembly of its 10,000-tons-per-annum carbon capture plant at Holcim’s Höver cement facility in Germany is now underway, with all major equipment successfully delivered to site.

Cool Planet’s construction team is currently installing and connecting the prefabricated modules, which is expected to be completed in April. Capture operations are scheduled to begin in mid- 2026 which will be followed by a 12-month demonstration program.

The Company’s modular membrane-based carbon capture technology enabled the plant to be prefabricated offsite and transported to Höver for final assembly. The process modules were fabricated and assembled by Blackrow Engineering in the UK and will be integrated with other equipment manufactured in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Blackrow’s site team are assisting Cool Planet with the assembly of the plant.
