China’s first wind-solar-hydrogen-biomass green alcohol oil demo project under construction

April 23, 2026 |

In China, SeeTaoE reports China’s first 500,000-ton wind-solar-hydrogen-biomass green alcohol oil demonstration project began construction in Kangping County, Shenyang. It couples wind and solar electrolysis with biomass gasification, using intelligent millisecond-level scheduling to stabilize intermittent renewables into liquid fuel. The dual-source model boosts carbon utilization above 95% and cuts emissions roughly 60% versus coal-to-methanol. At 500,000 tons annual capacity, costs may become competitive once scale exceeds 300,000 tons, helping meet global shipping and aviation demand and driving green industrial transformation in Northeast China.
