British Sugar targeted in Vivergo dispute

In the UK, British Sugar has been dragged into the dispute over Vivergo’s ethanol plant that is under construction in Saltend. The GMB union staged a peaceful protest of the company’s Newark sugar factory last week with former employees of the engineering firm whose contract was terminated in March over alleged poor performance.
