Brazil’s soybean harvest for the 2025/26 cycle has reached 21% of the planted area
In Brazil, Reuters reported that Brazilian farmers had harvested 21% of their 2025/26 soybean crop by February 12, up 5 percentage points from the previous week but less than the 24% recorded a year earlier.
Reuters cited information provided by agribusiness consultancy form AgRural.
The slowdown was mainly due to heavy rains in some states, particularly Mato Grosso, where sunny periods became less frequent, according to AgRural.
Planting of Brazil’s second corn crop reached 31% of the estimated area, compared to 36% the previous year, according to AgRural. The first corn crop reached 22%, less than the 29% recorded a year earlier.
