Brazilian soybean exports hit 58.5 million tons in Jan-May
In Brazil, Portal do Agronegocios reported that Brazilian soybean exports reached 58.51 million tons between January and May 2026, a volume higher than the 54.26 million tons shipped in the same period last year.
In May alone, shipments of the oilseed reached 15.42 million tons. For June, the port schedule indicates exports close to 12.4 million tons, maintaining a high pace of international trade, according to the report.
Chinese dependence on Brazilian soybeans remains significant. According to ANEC, China accounted for 70% of Brazilian soybean purchases between January and May of this year, the report added.
