Biofuels Partners looks to China to consolidate its supply chains for used oil, HVO and SAF
In Italy, Biofuels News reported that Biofuels Partners – an Italian consultancy and brokerage firm specializing in biofuels – has signed a collaboration agreement with Chinese company Jianglan Bio-Energy to explore opportunities for international cooperation in the sectors of used cooking oil (UCO), hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and sustainable aviation fuels.
Jianglan has extensive experience in the collection of UCO and an integrated approach that encompasses the sourcing of raw materials, pre-treatment and the production of renewable fuels, according to the report.
Jianglan’s industrial development program comprises a used cooking oil (UCO) pre-treatment plant with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year and an HVO-SAF plant of the same capacity, which utilize Desmet’s European pre-treatment technology and Topsoe’s HydroFlex technology respectively, the report added.
Biofuels Partners and Jianglan Bio-Energy will explore opportunities across the entire value chain, including the supply of UCO, HVO and SAF, and the establishment of partnerships in the renewable fuels sector.
