Biofuels from beer residues: new research, pilot project

In Spain, researchers from Cádiz University have produced biofuel from beer residues at lab level using the lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, and other components and are currently working to put together a pilot scale demonstration facility for the technology. The researchers have teamed with others from the universities of Jaén, Almería, Córdoba and Huelva.
