Biofuels Digest Index slips to 70.96 as ethanol equities slump

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, slipped 0.21 percent to 70.96 as ethanol equities slumped. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) sank 3.95 percent to $11.19, while KiOR (KIOR) rebounded 4.46 percent to $4.22. Among other equities, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) dropped 1.29 percent to $14.49. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 2 for the day.
