Biofuels Digest Index rises to 71.59 as chemicals rally

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 0.25 percent to 71.59 as chemicals rallied anew. For the day, Solazyme (SZYM) lost 6.87 percent to $11.11, while KiOR (KIOR) jumped 9.09 percent to $1.20. Among other equities, BioAmber (BIOA) soared 10.37 percent to $13.30. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 3 for the day.
